Yes, when the pressure respects it. Old colored and textured finishes strip under a hard, close pass, and that's the pass we refuse to make. We size the tip to your finish and let the chemistry lift the grime instead of the wand.
We work like they're ours. Beds get a thorough pre-wet, overspray gets watched, and the plants get rinsed down after we finish. The mix loses its strength fast once it's diluted and rinsed. Keep the dog inside during the wash, and he can have his yard back after the final rinse.
A little, and you deserve the straight answer. Some fine dirt and a trace of the mix almost certainly reach the water. It's minor, the mix is in the same chlorine family the pool already runs on, and your pool tech may just rinse the filter and rebalance the pH. We keep most of it off the coping and work so runoff drains away from the water.
No, and I'd rather tell you now than after. That band is calcium scale, a mineral deposit, and a wash doesn't dissolve mineral. It takes its own treatment, usually through your pool company. What we handle is the growth and grime on the concrete around it.

Only so much, and you should know that going in. A wash can lighten a fresh surface drip, but oil soaks into concrete, and a deep, older spot may barely move. Oil calls for its own specialty treatment, and even then I don't make promises on it.
Yes, when the tip and distance are matched to the coating. A hard, close pass is what peels paint, so we test a small patch first and let the mix do the heavy lifting. If a coating is already failing, we'll point it out before we start, because loose paint can lift no matter whose hand is on the wand.
Only for the estimate, since we price in person. On wash day, most owners just leave the gate open and keep pets indoors. We close the gate behind us when we're done.
Rain rinses loose dirt and leaves the growth in place. On a shaded deck, the layer you can barely see is the one that puts feet in the air, especially at the step-out spot where swimmers climb out wet. A treated wash kills the film deeper, so grip returns and the green comes back slower.

A pool deck rewards patience and punishes hurry. Here's the order we work a shaded backyard pool, start to finish.
We identify what's on your deck, textured, colored, or coated, and test an out-of-the-way spot so the tip choice fits before the real work starts.
Plants get pre-wet, furniture and pool toys move back, and we plan the runoff path so most of it drains away from the water.
The cleaning mix goes down and gets time to loosen the growth. Then our high-flow machines run a finish-matched tip in even, overlapping passes.
We rinse the coping and edges, check the step-out spot for grip, and point out anything a wash can't touch, like mineral scale at the waterline.
