That slick is algae living down in the surface. We knock it back at the root, not just the green on top, so the deck grips under bare feet and the slick comes back slower.

Keep your dog inside while we work and off the deck until it dries. Once it is dry and rinsed it is fine for paws, same as the deck your dog already walks on.

We do not claim zero gets in on a deck that wraps the water. A little fine dirt and solution can reach the pool. It is the same chlorine family your pool runs on, so your tech may just rinse the filter and rebalance the pH.
The slick is algae down in the surface. We knock it back at the root so the deck grips wet again. It comes back slower, but new growth is normal, so a fresh wash keeps it ahead.
Those are inorganic stains and a regular wash will not lift them. We fade what we can and tell you up front what may not fully come out, then talk about a separate treatment.
