Why The Hose Leaves Spots
And Purified Water Doesn't

The Hose And A Squeegee

Honest truth, it can work on the low panes

  • Tap water dries into mineral spots
  • Towels and squeegees streak in direct sun
  • Upper panes mean a ladder against your siding
  • An afternoon of work that shows every miss
Bub's method

Purified Water, Soft Brush

Cleaned from the ground, dries clear on its own

  • Nothing dissolved in the water, nothing left to spot
  • Soft brush lifts the pollen film before the rinse
  • Upper panes reached by pole, feet on the ground
  • A gentle rinse that old glazing can handle

No surprises, straight answers

The questions Cayce homeowners
actually ask

Pollen season comes back around, and we can't stop that. What we can do is leave the glass truly clean, with no sticky residue for the next round of dust to grab. A purified rinse dries bare, so the film builds back slower and the panes stay clearer longer.

No hard spray gets near your panes. The brush is soft, the rinse is gentle, and brittle glazing stays right where it belongs. Old windows are the reason we clean glass this way in the first place.

Yes. Window cleaning is purified water, which is just water with the minerals pulled out. It lands in your beds about the same as rain, so pets and plants can carry on while we work.

Tap water carries dissolved minerals, and when the drops dry, those minerals stay behind as spots. Our water is purified before it ever touches your glass, so there is nothing in it to dry onto the pane. That is the whole trick, and it is why we skip the towels.

We clean what's there. Screens get a gentle wash, sills and frames get rinsed, and storm windows get cleaned along with the panes behind them. Plenty of older homes here still run storms over the original glass, and those get the same light touch.

Yes, fully licensed and insured. Poles and ladders working around glass, screens, and window frames is exactly where you want that paperwork in place. If a pane or a screen ever got damaged on our watch, you'd be covered, and we work carefully so it doesn't come to that.

Simple To Book

How To Get On The Schedule

No pricing games online and no pushy follow-up. Here is how it goes, from your call to a firm free quote.

1

Reach out whichever way suits you. Tell us it's windows, or windows plus a house wash, and we take it from there.

2

Windows slot in easily alongside a house wash visit, or they get their own quick appointment. Either way, getting on the calendar is painless.

3

A tech comes out and eyeballs the actual glass, the frames, and how thick the pollen film has gotten. There is no guessing from a satellite photo.

4

We count what you actually have, every pane, storm window, and screen, then hand you a firm free quote on the spot. There is no pressure to book.

Questions, answered

Common Cayce window cleaning questions

Yes, we work this side of the river all the time, from Riverland Park down to Fairlawn and the streets in between. Windows can be their own visit or part of a bigger wash day.

Most homes here do well with a wash about every year-and-a-half to two years, and shaded lots down by the river usually want it a touch more often. Pollen is the big driver. Once that film builds up, the glass looks dull even on a bright day.

Yes. The water-fed pole reaches upper panes while our feet stay on the ground, so nobody is leaning a ladder against your gutters or siding. It is safer for the crew and easier on your house.

Some of them, and we will be straight with you about the rest. Fresh spots rinse away, but minerals that have sat on glass a long while can etch in, and a wash alone may barely move those. We will tell you what we see in person before you book anything.

Windows stand alone just fine. That said, plenty of folks pair them with a house wash, because clean siding makes dull glass stick out even more. Knocking out both in the same visit keeps it simple.

Usually it is no problem at all. Rain is fairly clean water on its own, and spots mostly come from rain dragging grime around on dirty glass as it dries. On a freshly cleaned pane there is little for it to grab, so a shower after we leave rarely undoes the work.

First time using a company to clean the exterior of our home, because I’m very particular. We could not be more pleased. The cleaning of paint trim, gutters and windows exceeded expectations. The two young men performing the work were exceptionally polite and hard working. We’ll schedule their service again.

Window Cleaning in Cayce, brickyard town

Window Cleaning done right in Cayce

Most of the glass we clean in the older parts of town went in when the house was built. The putty holding those panes has gone hard and brittle with age, and it will not forgive a hard spray. That rules out the pressure washer right off the bat. So we clean glass the gentle way: purified water and a soft brush on a pole, worked from the ground. Purified water has nothing dissolved in it, so it dries clear on its own, no spots, no wiping. The pollen film and tree dust rinse right off. Your panes stay put, and the glass stays clear until the next heavy pollen drop.

Cayce sits on the west bank of the Congaree River, straight across from downtown Columbia, on some of the lowest, flattest ground in the Midlands. The heart of it is the Avenues, a grid of bungalows and brick ranches built in the 1940s and 50s when veterans came home and the Blossom Street bridge tied Cayce to Columbia. This is old brick country in the most literal way: the Guignard family dug clay out of these river bottoms for two centuries, and the beehive kilns of the Guignard Brick Works still stand near the river. The Cayce Riverwalk and the wooded Timmerman Trail run along the Congaree, and the river bottom keeps the ground and the air damp, so shaded lots in Riverland Park and the Avenues hold moisture long after the rain stops. Newer subdivisions like Hunter's Mill and Moss Creek fill in toward the south end of town.

In Riverland Park, Guignard Estates, and Vista Hills, or anywhere else around Cayce, we come to you for window cleaning, no trip fee.

While we're at your Cayce place, we can knock out your house washing, roof cleaning, and brick cleaning too, all on the same trip with no second trip fee.

Our process, step by step

How We Clean Your Windows

Here is the actual job, start to finish, the way we run it on an older home.

We look over each window before we touch it. Brittle glazing, loose panes, and cracked corners get flagged, so we know where to go extra easy.

A soft brush on the water-fed pole scrubs the pollen haze and tree dust loose from each pane, with frames and sills getting hit along the way.

We flood the glass with purified water until it runs clean. With nothing dissolved in the water, there is nothing left to dry into a spot.

We don't towel it off, and there are no squeegee marks to chase. The water sheets away and the glass dries clear, which is the whole point of purifying it first.
