The honest difference

Hose water vs purified water
What's dissolved in the water decides how it dries

The DIY hose rinse

Why it spots as it dries

  • Tap water carries dissolved minerals
  • Spots show as soon as the sun hits the glass
  • Ladders leaned against the house for upper panes
  • Screens and sills usually get skipped
Bub's method

The purified-water clean

Nothing dissolved, nothing to dry into a spot

  • Purified water with nothing dissolved in it
  • Dries clear on its own, no towels
  • Upper panes reached from the ground
  • Frames, sills, and screens worked into the job

No surprises, straight answers

The questions Forest Acres homeowners
actually ask

Canopy film, mostly pollen and the fine dust that drifts down out of big hardwoods. Shaded glass holds it longer because those panes rarely get a hard dry-out, and on the damp blocks around Forest Lake it hangs on longer still. The soft brush lifts it and the purified rinse carries it off clear.

It's about the gentlest service we offer. A soft brush and low-flow purified water do the work, and there's no hard spray involved at any point near the glass, the seals, or the frames. Older windows are the reason we clean this way in the first place.

Yes. The window work itself runs on purified water with nothing added, so what reaches your beds is just water. Diluted and rinsed down, it's spent by the time we pack up.

Because tap water carries dissolved minerals, and they stay behind on the pane after the water dries. Purified water sidesteps that, since there's nothing in it to leave a mark. That's the whole reason the glass can be left to dry on its own.

More than most folks expect. Once the siding is bright, hazy glass is the last dull thing on the wall, and you can read it from the curb. Cleaning the panes is what makes the whole face of the house look finished.

Yes, fully licensed and insured. That matters here because window work means poles, and sometimes a ladder, moving around your glass, frames, and screens. If something ever went wrong you'd be covered, and that protection is in place before we touch a pane.

Booking is simple

How the window quote works

We price windows the same way we price everything else, in person and free, after we've seen the actual glass.

1

Call or send the quick form, whichever suits you. Tell us it's windows and a little about the house, and we'll take it from there.

2

Glass fits easily behind a house wash that's already on the books, or as its own quick visit. Either way, getting on the schedule is painless.

3

A tech comes out and looks the windows over with you, checking frames, seals, and access so wash day holds no surprises.

4

We count what's actually there, storm panes and screens included, and hand you the full price in person, free, with no push to commit on the spot.

Questions, answered

Forest Acres questions, answered

Yes, we're out this way often. Brandywine and Hampton Trace are familiar streets for us, and the shaded glass on these older brick homes is exactly the kind of work this service suits.

A wash about every year-and-a-half to two years keeps most shaded glass around here looking right. Heavy canopy sheds pollen and fine dust onto panes steadily, and glass that sits in half-day shade holds that film longer between rains, so it pays to stay ahead of it.

Yes, both. Screens come off and get rinsed, and storm panes get the same soft-brush treatment as the main glass. We count all of it during the walk-through so the price you hear covers the lot.

It shouldn't, and older windows are the reason we work this way. There's no high pressure near the glass, just a soft brush and low-flow purified water, which asks far less of aging seals than a ladder, a squeegee, and a hard hose blast.

On their own is no problem. Windows make an easy stand-alone visit, though plenty of owners add them right after a house wash, when the siding is fresh and the glass is the last dull thing left on the wall.

Only partly, and it's worth being straight about that. Those white marks are mineral deposits, and once they've etched in, a standard wash may barely move them. Fresh buildup can lighten some, but set-in staining calls for a separate specialty treatment, and we'll tell you which you're dealing with when we see the glass.

First time using a company to clean the exterior of our home, because I’m very particular. We could not be more pleased. The cleaning of paint trim, gutters and windows exceeded expectations. The two young men performing the work were exceptionally polite and hard working. We’ll schedule their service again.

If you’re considering using Bub’s Pressure Washing & Softwashing, I can’t recommend them highly enough—this is one of those companies where the people make all the difference. From the very first interaction, their team stands out. They’re responsive, easy to work with, and genuinely care about doing things the right way. You can tell immediately that they take pride in their work—not just in the results, but in how they treat their customers. It’s rare to find a group that combines professionalism with that level of personal accountability. What really impressed me was the consistency and attention to detail. They don’t cut corners, they communicate clearly, and they follow through on exactly what they say they’re going to do. That kind of reliability builds instant trust, and it’s clear why so many people refer them to neighbors and friends. The service quality itself is top-tier. They approach each job with precision and care, making sure everything is done thoroughly while also respecting your property. Little things—like cleaning up after the job or going the extra step to make sure everything looks perfect—are where they really separate themselves from typical service providers. But honestly, what sets Bub’s apart most is the character of the team. There’s a strong sense of integrity and work ethic behind everything they do. You don’t feel like you’re just another job on the schedule—you feel like they actually care about delivering a great outcome. If you want a company that combines high-quality work with outstanding people and service, Bub’s is exactly who you should call.

Window Cleaning in Forest Acres, the forest suburb

Your local Forest Acres window cleaning crew

Funny thing about a fresh house wash: the day after, the windows are suddenly the dullest thing on the wall. The siding is bright, the trim is clean, and the glass shows a haze you'd stopped noticing. That haze is pollen and fine oak dust off the canopy, and shaded panes hold it longer between rains. Scrubbing with hose water just trades one film for another, since ordinary water dries with residue in it. We clean with purified water and a soft brush on a pole, worked from the ground. It dries clear on its own, nothing left behind, no wiping. The glass finally matches the clean house around it.

Forest Acres is named for its trees, and the name is honest. It grew up as a wooded suburb east of downtown Columbia, and today its brick ranches and split-levels from the 1950s and 60s sit under one of the oldest, heaviest hardwood canopies in the Midlands. Gills Creek runs through the middle of town, and Forest Lake, the old mill pond dammed where the creek was first put to work, anchors the Forest Lake Country Club and the established streets around Rockbridge Road. Between the deep oak shade, the creek, and the small lakes, whole blocks around North Trenholm and Satchel Ford stay cool and damp for most of the day, and the mature azaleas and camellias that fill these yards are exactly the kind of landscaping owners here want protected. Trenholm Plaza is the everyday retail heart of town.

We bring our window cleaning to Brandywine, Rockbridge, and Sandwood and the rest of Forest Acres, with the same crew and the same care.

While we're at your Forest Acres place, we can knock out your house washing, roof cleaning, and brick cleaning too, all on the same trip with no second trip fee.

Our process, step by step

How window day actually goes

It's quiet, methodical work. Here's the order we run it in.

We start with a slow lap around the house, noting storms, screens, and any aging seals or fragile spots so those sections get extra care.

Screens come off and get rinsed, then frames and sills get brushed ahead of the glass, so loosened grit washes away before the finish pass instead of over it.

The water-fed pole carries a soft brush across every pane, loosening pollen and oak film while purified water flushes it clear, upper windows included.

Each pane gets a final pass of purified water and is left to dry untouched. With nothing dissolved in the water, it dries clear, no towels and no streaks.
