Not if we do our job, and that job starts before any cleaning does. The fence-line beds get a soak of plain water first, the mix stays tight to the deck instead of fanning into the landscaping, and the beds get a final fresh-water pass before we load up.
Yes, as long as the pressure matches the concrete. Older, worn slabs get a gentler tip and a test spot in a quiet corner first, and we let the chemistry do more of the lifting. The goal is clean concrete that keeps its texture, not a slab that's been shaved smooth.
He can supervise from the window. What we clean with is a close cousin of the chlorine he already swims around, and once the deck is rinsed and dry it's safe for paws again. We'll tell you when that is before we pull out.
A little will, and you deserve the straight answer. We work away from the edge and aim the rinse at the yard, but some fine dirt and a trace of solution usually reach the water. Our mix is in the same chlorine family your pool already runs on, so it's minor. Your pool tech may just rinse the filter and rebalance the pH at the next service.
We tell you up front, a deck wash won't fully lift it. That ring is calcium scale, a mineral deposit rather than growth, so the wash may soften the haze a little while the scale itself calls for its own treatment. Pool decks are a regular stop for us here. We clean them out at Forest Ridge, around the Country Club area, and behind the older in-town homes that keep a pool tucked out back. If you're just outside town, ask anyway. Coming out to look costs you nothing.

We can lighten them, and we're honest that they may not fully lift. Clay is an iron stain, not growth, so the wash clears the dirt and film around it while the stain itself may need its own specialty treatment. On the walk-around we'll point out which marks will clear and which will only fade.
Because that's where wet feet keep the concrete damp, and damp concrete is where the film grows. Not much. Clear what furniture you easily can, keep pets and kids inside while we work, and leave the gate where we can reach it. We'll move the heavy pieces ourselves and clean underneath them.

A pool deck gets cleaned in a certain order for a reason. The order is what protects the finish, the plants, and the water.
We check the age and finish of the slab before anything else. Worn older concrete and stamped or coated decks get gentler tips and a test spot, so the surface keeps the texture your feet rely on.
Industrial-grade chemicals go onto the grime and get time to soak. The mix is in the same chlorine family as your pool water, and the soak kills the algae film down in the pores instead of just wetting it.
Professional surface cleaners work the open deck in steady, overlapping passes. The wet-traffic edges get slower hand work, because that's where bare feet actually land.
