Two Ways To Do This

The Blower Off The Roof vs. The Scoop And Flush
Proof of flow is the whole job.

The Blower Shortcut

Fast, loud, and half a job.

  • Blasts dry debris out of the trough and all over your beds, roof, and siding
  • Can't move the wet packed sludge sitting in the low spots
  • Never touches the downspout elbow, where the real clog lives
  • Nobody watches water exit, so the first hard rain is the test, at your expense
Bub's method

The Scoop And Flush

Slower by the ladder, done at the ground.

  • Hand scooped troughs with the mess going into a bucket, not your landscaping
  • Wet sludge, needle thatch, and shingle grit all come out, not just the loose stuff
  • Downspouts and elbows cleared so the exit is actually open
  • Water flushed through every run until we see it drain, then we call it done

No surprises, straight answers

The questions Prosperity homeowners
actually ask

In our bags, not your beds. First we scoop it straight into a bucket at the ladder, then it gets bagged and hauled off. The rotten leaf mash that comes out of a gutter will stain mulch and smother plants, so we never just toss it over the side.

It can, and it's quiet about it. Water sheeting over the edge runs down the fascia board first, then drops along the foundation and pools in the beds. Fascia rot and settled ground near the slab both start as a gutter that couldn't drain. Clearing it early is the cheap version of that story.

Best plan is pets inside while ladders are up. We're moving around the whole roofline with buckets and hoses, and a curious dog under a ladder is a bad mix for everybody. Once we're done and the gear is loaded, the yard is all theirs again.

More often than not it's the downspout elbow. Debris washes along the trough, hits that bend, and packs in tight. The trough above can look spotless while the exit is corked. That's why we clear the elbows and then flush with water until we see it pour out at the ground.

Honest answer: no. Those tiger stripes are oxidation baked into the outside face of the gutter, not dirt, so scooping the inside doesn't touch them. Gutter brightening is a separate service that treats that oxidation, and we're glad to quote both while we're there.

Fair. The paperwork is real, licensed and insured both, and the setup is steady and methodical: ladder placed, section scooped, ladder moved. No leaning, no stretching, no shortcuts over your beds. Careful is faster in the long run because nobody's fixing what a rushed job dinged.

How It Starts

Quoted at the Eaves

First the call, then the look, then the number. Gutters don't need more steps than that.

1

Start with a call or the short form. Mention the trees over the house and what the last hard rain looked like.

2

Best to book before the next hard rain, and we'll aim for exactly that. We make regular runs through town, so the wait stays short.

3

Your tech looks at every run, checks the downspouts and elbows, and spots trouble like sagging sections or pooling before a ladder ever goes up.

4

The number comes right after the walkthrough, based on what your gutters actually need. Happy with it and we get to work, often that same visit.

Questions, answered

Common Prosperity gutter cleaning questions

Watch the first heavy rain of the season. If water sheets over the edge anywhere, it's time. Most homes under our hardwood and pine canopy do well with a yearly cleaning, and heavy-shade properties often want a fall and a spring visit.

If you're on one of the shaded in-town streets or out on the pine-covered acreage around Prosperity, yes. We're based near Columbia and travel this way regularly, so getting on the schedule is easy.

No, and better you hear it now than after the ladders are gone. Those stripes are oxidation on the outside face, not dirt, so cleaning the inside can't touch them. That's our gutter brightening service, a separate job we're happy to quote alongside the cleaning.

Usually, yes. First the fine stuff, pine needles, catkins, and shingle grit, works through or around the guards. Then it builds a layer the guard hides from view. We can clean around most guard systems and tell you honestly how yours are holding up.

We do. Everything gets scooped into buckets, bagged, and loaded on the truck. Your beds, walkways, and lawn look the same when we leave as when we showed up, minus the clogged gutters.

Check the downspout elbow, or better, let us. Debris rides the trough until it hits that bend, then packs in solid. From the yard the gutter looks clean, but the water has no exit. Clearing the elbows and flushing until water pours out at the ground is how we solve that mystery, until the trees start refilling the trough again.

First time using a company to clean the exterior of our home, because I’m very particular. We could not be more pleased. The cleaning of paint trim, gutters and windows exceeded expectations. The two young men performing the work were exceptionally polite and hard working. We’ll schedule their service again.

Bub's showed up, gave a fair quote and then came back with a friendly & professional crew to clean our house. I think they may have had one too many for the job because one guy gave our car a quick wash in the driveway while the rest of the crew cleaned the house. Definitely recommend.

Gutter Cleaning in Prosperity, old Frog Level

Why Prosperity homeowners call us

A full gutter doesn't look like much from the yard. Then the first hard rain comes, and all that water has nowhere to go but over the edge, down the fascia, and straight into the beds and against the foundation. In town the troughs fill with hardwood litter off the shade trees. Out on the acreage it's pine needle thatch. The needle thatch is the sneaky one, because water slides under the mat and the trough looks fine from below. Meanwhile shingle grit keeps washing down as roofs age, packing the low spots like wet sand. Wait long enough and you're not paying for a cleaning anymore, you're paying for fascia repair and washed-out beds. We'd rather you pay for the small job, and so would you.

Prosperity is the quiet side of Newberry County's lake country, an old rail town built around a walkable square, with older clapboard and brick homes under mature shade trees in and around the Caldwell Street Historic District. Out past town the land stretches into acreage lots with long driveways and outbuildings, then drops to the Saluda-side coves of Lake Murray, where newer builds in Stewart Landing and The Pointes of Plantation Pointe sit close to the water. Damp air off the coves, deep tree shade in town, and red-clay Piedmont soil keep north-facing siding, roofs, and concrete greening up faster than most owners expect.

In Osprey Pointe, Harbor View Estates, and Stoney Hill, or anywhere else around Prosperity, we come to you for gutter cleaning, no trip fee.

While we're at your Prosperity place, we can knock out your house washing, roof cleaning, and brick cleaning too, all on the same trip with no second trip fee.

Our process, step by step

What A Real Gutter Cleaning Looks Like

First the scoop, then the downspouts, then the proof. Here's each step in plain terms.

We circle the house first, noting the heavy debris zones, the low spots, and where the beds sit under the eaves. That tells us where to set ladders and where to be extra careful with the landscaping.

Section by section, everything comes out by hand into a bucket. Hardwood litter, needle thatch, shingle grit, the wet sludge underneath, all of it. Bagged, not dumped.

Then we open up every downspout, working the elbows especially, since that bend is where clogs pack first. A clear trough with a corked elbow still overflows, so this step never gets skipped.

Last, water goes through every run and we watch it exit at the ground. Gentle flow only, never pressure into the trough seams. When we leave, we know your gutters drain because we saw them do it.
