Low pressure, right mix

No surprises, straight answers
No. We soft wash brick at low pressure, so we clean the face without cutting the soft mortar out of the joints.
That is algae and mildew living down in the pores. Our mix kills it at the root, so it grows back slower.
That white is efflorescence, a mineral stain, not dirt. We fade what we can and tell you up front what may not fully lift.
Sandy soil splashes grit up onto the lower courses every hard rain. We rinse it off and bring the wall back even.
We pre-wet your plants, keep your pets clear while we work, and rinse everything down when we finish.
Yes, fully licensed and insured. That matters on brick, because if a joint is already failing we are covered while we work.

Questions, answered
Yes, we service Elgin and the newer subdivisions out that way. A lot of those homes have brick accents and columns we soft wash.
Most Elgin homes do well on a about every year-and-a-half to two years wash. Sandy grit and pine pollen build up fast on the lower courses.
High pressure can cut the soft mortar out of your joints. That is why we soft wash brick instead, at low pressure.
That is efflorescence, a mineral bloom from inside the brick. We fade what we can and tell you up front what may not fully lift.
It lives down in the pores, so a rinse only knocks the top off. Our mix kills it at the root, so it returns slower.

Brick Cleaning in Elgin, the Sandhills gateway
Most folks grab a pressure washer, point it at the brick, and let it rip. That is the mistake. High pressure cuts the soft mortar right out of your joints. Once those joints start to crumble, water gets behind the wall and the fix gets pricey. The green and black on brick is algae and mildew living down in the pores, not on top. You blast it, you damage the wall and the stain still creeps back. We soft wash instead, low pressure with the right mix, so the brick comes clean and the mortar stays put.
Elgin, once called Blaney, sits in the Sandhills northeast of Columbia, straddling the Kershaw and Richland county line. The area covers a fast-growing stretch of newer subdivisions, with brand-new vinyl-sided homes going up across neighborhoods like Woodland Forest, Royal Pines Estates, Spring Village, Wildewood, and the Spears Creek and Pontiac corridor. The condition that drives cleaning here is the sandy Sandhills soil. After a hard rain it kicks tan grit and a gritty film up onto the lower siding, the skirting, and the concrete, and the loblolly and longleaf pines drop heavy pollen on top of it. A lot of these homes are new builds getting their first real wash, on builder-grade vinyl that high pressure can crack. Sesquicentennial State Park and Spears Creek anchor the area, and the growth keeps pushing out along Two Notch Road.
In The Groves, Wildewood, and Meadow View, or anywhere else around Elgin, we come to you for brick cleaning, no trip fee.
While we're at your Elgin place, we can knock out your house washing, roof cleaning, and window cleaning too, all on the same trip with no second trip fee.

Our process, step by step
Brick is soft-mortar work, not a blast job. Here is how we clean it right, start to finish.
We check the brick face and the mortar joints first, so nothing already loose gets pushed past where it should.
We pre-wet your plants and move anything in the way, so the cleaning mix only touches the brick.
We work the mix in at low pressure, letting it kill the algae and mildew down in the pores.
We rinse the wall top to bottom, lifting the sandy grit off the lower courses so the brick comes back even.
